FROGS


Frogs are the heart of every frogblue system and installed in the mounting boxes directly behind light switches. The frogs switch, dim, measure consumption or accept switching commands. Frogs form the basis of the wireless frogblue Bluetooth® network and use this network as “virtual cables” to link to eachother. They also forward messages and in doing so extend their range. The data transfer between the frogs is encrypted (128-bit) in addition to Bluetooth®. Frogs are smart and do not require a central control processor or control cabinet. VDE approval guarantees that fire protection and electrical safety are maintained. Frogs are very energy efficient (0.2 W) and log energy consumption over months.



Frogblue is green - saves energy and money


With a power consumption of only 0.2 watts, frogs are exceptionally energy efficient. With a typical number of 30 frogs in one house, this adds up to just 6 watts. In comparison, wired systems with a switch cabinet can easily use 500 W. Even when dimming, the frogs save energy, as they hardly even become warm to the touch when operating at full load. This increases the service life. And the cables that are no longer required no longer need to be produced.





frogKey – one for all


With frogblue, one button controls the whole house. Point it upwards and it switches the light, point it downwards and the blinds respond, point it forwards horizontally and it opens doors. With activated room recognition, the frogKey switches only the lights or blinds in the room it is currently in. It also opens only the door you’re standing in front of when you press the button. All this is highly encrypted, of course. And in an emergency, a double click switches on the light in the house or makes a phone call with voice message (panic function).





Atmosphere is just a click away


With just one click all lamps and blinds adjust for the TV evening. When leaving the apartment, one command moves the blinds down, lowers the heating, turns off the lighting and activates the alarm. It can be controlled via Display, Smartphone, or just a double-click on the light switch. If there should be any window or outside door still open, it will be shown.





The frogControl app


The frogControl app is available for free in the AppStore and PlayStore for iOS and Android. It communicates directly with the frogs, using the phone's bluetooth connection, always encrypted and secured. The setup file comes automatically from the ProjectApp, which is used to configure the frogblue system. This means that all rooms and the names of lights and doors are already available when the frogControl app is started for the first time. The identical user interface of the frogControl app on the smartphone, tablet or frogDisplay allows an easy and intuitive handling of the frogblue system.





The “smartphone on the wall”


With the frogDisplay any and all functions and scenarios of intelligent living can be controlled. It expands the frogblue system by visualization, access control, intercom, alarm system and video as well as camera display. The frogDisplay is required to facilitate secure remote access to the system when away from the property.





Robust System that just works - Made in Germany


With frogblue there is no need to install any network infrastructure. The frogs will create their own bluetooth mesh network for communication. WiFi is prone to interference which makes other products that depend on WiFi less reliable.
